After the birth of her 3rd child in 2002, Jen weighed in at just over 200 lbs. Being part of a family member’s wedding party was the catalyst that made her realize she did not want to be the plus-sized mom anymore. So Jen cranked up her regular half hour workouts by adding running, but it wasn't until she began modifying her diet that the weight really started to come off.
Jump forward to the spring of 2016 when a friend encouraged her to try a kickboxing class at this amazing little gym called 308 Fit & Fierce and HOORAY!! She found her passion (other than caring for her family and their farm)! Soon after, she attained her Group Fitness Certification followed by a Barefoot Training certification to help herself and others because so many are afflicted with ankle, knee, hip and lower back pain many times originating with foot misalignment and poor choice in shoes. A year later she became an ACE certified personal trainer and continues to live her passion of helping people attain their fitness goals.
